Twelve palaces, one chart

A separate Chinese system from the Four Pillars, built on the lunar month rather than the solar terms. It needs your birth time and your gender — both change where the stars land.

Date of birth

Time of birth 24-hour, e.g. 14:30. Type 1430 and it formats itself.

Place of birth — optional Converts your clock time to true solar time, including daylight saving. Purple Star is more sensitive to the hour than Four Pillars, so this is worth filling in.

Purple Star cannot be read without an exact birth hour. One hour moves the Life Palace by a whole palace, and every conclusion built on it comes out wrong — so we do not guess. Use the Four Pillars chart instead — it works from three pillars.
